Alcohol Rehabilitation Courses
We offer a range of courses at various locations close to transport networks
We deliver a Drink Drive Rehabilitation Course on behalf of and licenced by the DVSA. The course is not a punishment for your offence. The aim of this course is to help improve your knowledge of alcohol and its affects to help you avoid re-offending in the future. These courses have been established since 1993 and has proven to assist many offenders having a positive reduction in the re-offend rate. The name of the course is "Making Better Choices"
and we believe that you will receive all the information to improve your knowledge and to look at the skills and attitude towards safer driving. We shall be giving you the tools to change whilst on the course to help you "Make Better Choices".
Benefits for attending this Course
There are several benefits for a convicted drink driver to attend the course which includes:
• Information and help to avoid future drink driving, as any reconviction of a drink drive
offence can result in an extended ban of 3 years (if reconvicted within a 10 year period)
and/or possible imprisonment. • A driving disqualification reduction of typically 25%. (example: a ban of 12 months will
be reduced to 9 months upon successful completion of the course). • A course completion certificate which can be provided to many insurance companies
whereby it may help your insurance premiums become more affordable. • Returning to your activities, hobbies and social functions which may have been
difficult whilst on your ban. • Understand the implications that alcohol can have on our health and make positive
changes to remain safe. • Alternatives to drink driving and ways to avoid re-offending.
Information about this course
The Courses are available at various locations and online.. Day courses will be run over a period of 3 days (1 day each week). We offer weekend courses (This will help avoid taking time off work / losing annual leave).
You will be entitled to receive a reduction of your disqualification period of up to 25%. This will be awarded at the time of your court case and on the provision is that your attend and complete the course within the specified time frame. You will need to ask for your Solicitor or the Court for a referral to ACE Driver Safety Ltd. This will in turn could benefit your family, your mobility and work situations. Receiving your licence back earlier could also help with you regaining your social life and enjoying any sports and activities that you have missed.
